Learn How To Create And Upload A Video To YouTube
YouTube is one of the most popular websites on the Internet. For those who have never visited YouTube on the web, it is a website where users can upload videos that they have created for all to view. If you would like to make a video of you performing your favorite hobby or a wonderful speech which you gave in speech class, but don't know how to do it, then keep reading and I will take you through a step by step process. Please keep in mind that this is just one of many ways to do this.
Step 1 - Find yourself a camera-a digital camera. 90% of digital cameras have a video record option. You will use this video record option on the digital camera to create you video. The camera you buy or borrow must have a way to connect it to your computer so you can extract the videos from the camera. Get a friend to help run the camera while you do whatever it is you do well.
Step 2 - Recording: If you are going to be shooting a commercial, skit, video blog or something of the sort be sure to record a few takes. Having more than one take will make the final product look better since you will have more video to cut, mix and match during editing. The camera will pick up all surrounding sounds so pick a quite area to record. Be sure you are close enough for the camera's microphone to capture your voice and speak loudly.
Step 3 - Extract Video: Once you have all the video you need on the camera you will need to extract it from the camera to the computer's hard-drive. Take the USB cable and plug it into the camera and the other end into the computer. All the pictures and movie files on the camera will show up on the computer. Create a folder on your desktop and label it "YouTube Video." Drag or copy the video files to the "YouTube Video" folder. Hang in there! You are doing great so far.
Step 4 - Credits and Title. The easiest way to create a title and a credits page is by using Microsoft Paint. Open MS Paint and stretch out the virtual canvas so that it takes up 75% of your monitor. Pick a large font and write the title of your video. When you have all the text you want for the title page then save it to your "My Pictures" folder. Repeat the process for the title page.
Step 5 - In this step open the program Windows Movie maker. This program comes standard on all Window's operating systems. Once in the program click "File" and select "Import into collectibles." This will open a new window where you can navigate to the folders with your saved videos and pictures and import them into Window's Movie Maker.
Step 6 - Now that all items you need are in Windows Movie Maker it's time to edit. Starting with the title page. Drag and drop everything into the squares at the bottom of the page. You can grab the edges of each video clip and drag them to shorten them.
Step 7 - Add some music. While in Windows Movie Maker you can grab any mp3 off your hard-drive and drag and drop it with your other files. Then click on "View" and select "Timeline view" from the drop down menu. Once the view changes drag and drop the mp3/s at the bottom of the page. You treat the mp3 the same way you do the video files.
Step 8 - Create the Final Video: After you have previewed the movie in Windows Movie Maker, export it to a WMV file format. WMVs are great for YouTube, but you can export it to another file if you have the right codecs. If you've never done this before, use WMV. It's noob-friendly.
Step 9 - Upload the video to YouTube. Simply log in to your YouTube account, and hit the 'UPLOAD' button. Follow You Tube's uploading procedure and you'll be a star in no time!
