You Matter When we get into November, my mind always becomes more grateful and appreciative of what I have in my life and what I've created in my business. I have a quote that I just love that really touches my heart that I try to remember during the entire year but as the season turns to fall it comes to mind more often as we begin to focus on Thanksgiving. "To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived, this is to have succeeded." -Ralph Waldo Emerson Wow, when I reflect on this quote I really find myself being in such a place of thanksgiving. I am so thankful that on a daily basis I get to work with small business owners and make a difference in their lives. Please know that I appreciate everyone I am able to touch. I love my FaceBook community, those that read my blogs and listen to my videos as well as those that I get to work directly with. I'm grateful that you have allowed me to be of influence to your business and knowing that I'm of some value to others feeds my soul and gives my life tremendous purpose. What I want to communicate to you today is that no matter what business you are in, YOU MATTER. Here is why even without knowing you personally I can confidently say this. No matter what business you are in, when you serve others by providing a product or a service that solves a problem or a worry that they've been having, you are giving more than a service or product. You are giving them a solution that supports their problem and offering them kindness and attention. Think about it. What if you are in the business of house cleaning. You may provide that service for someone who is handicapped and unable to clean or for someone that works crazy hours. Aren't you giving them something of more value than just a clean house? Also when you are in business and working with clients and customers you are probably freeing their worries. Maybe you are in the business of financial planning and help clients know that if they follow the plan you've set out for them they will have less money worries in the future. Finally I think when you are in business and offer a solution for a worried or client that needs what you have to offer you truly have impact further than you know. Say for example you are in the beauty business. When you help someone feel more confident by helping them feel like they look sharp, you are making for a much happier person. Confidence goes a long way. It can lead to a promotion, higher dollars and impact their family and children beyond what you may ever know. Giving clients confidence creates a ripple effect that you may ever be able to measure. Just be at peace in knowing that it is there. So as we head into the Thanksgiving holiday this month, please remember to be thankful for the gifts that you've been given and for the lives you've touched and made better as a result of your skills.
