Twilight Stars Conquer American Magazine Covers Twilight is the first book in the wildly popular teen fiction series by American author Stephenie Meyer. Twilight and its three sequels follow the life of teenager Bella Swan who moves to Forks, Washington and finds her life radically changed when she falls in love with a vampire named Edward Cullen. The entire series, known as the Twilight series, has sold more than 42 million copies worldwide with translations into 37 different languages around the world. The four Twilight books were the biggest selling novels of 2008 on the USA Today newspaper bestselling books list. Stewart was born and raised in Los Angeles along with her older brother Cameron. Both her parents have long worked in the entertainment industry so it wasn't unusual when Kristen Stewart began her acting career at age eight. She first appeared in a Disney Channel made-for-television movie called The Thirteenth Year but it wasn't until 2001, at the age of 11, that Kristen Stewart made her major movie debut in the movie Panic Room, opposite Jodie Foster. After Panic Room, Stewart appeared in a supporting role in the thriller Cold Creek Manor starring Dennis Quaid and Sharon Stone. She then starred in a handful of movies and television movies. She also appeared in supporting roles in movies like Into the Wild and In the Land of Women. Presently Stewart continues to live in Los Angeles and according to a 2008 interview with Vanity Fair magazine, is dating actor Michael Angarano. Recent celebrity magazines like People magazine and Us Weekly magazine report Kristen Stewart is close friends with her Twilight co-stars Robert Pattinson and Nikki Reed. Kristen Stewart has appeared on the cover of Nylon magazine, Teen Vogue, Entertainment Weekly magazine, Seventeen magazine and Life & Style magazine. Currently there are rumors in celebrity magazines that Kristen Stewart and her Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson are dating. Due to the enormous success of Twilight, Kristen Stewart has many movies in the works including the second movie in the Twilight series, New Moon, Welcome to the Rileys, Butterfly and a bio-pic of the 1970s girl rock group called The Runaways. Like Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson was relatively unknown before the blockbuster success of Twilight, which raked in $70.6 million at the box office on its opening weekend. Robert Pattinson is an English actor, model and musician. Before his turn as enigmatic vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight movie adaptation, he was best-known for his role Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Harry Potter in the Order of the Phoenix. Robert Pattinson hails from London. His upcoming movie roles include the next installment of the Twilight saga, New Moon, Unbound Captives, Remember Me and Bel Ami. Pattinson has appeared on the covers of GQ, Life and Style, OK! magazine and Entertainment Weekly magazines.
