You Could Do A Bunch Worse Than Purchasing an Archos MP3 Player
Portable media devices for music and videos are all the craze these days, and the Apple iPod is the undoubted leader in terms of marketplace share and unit sales. But that doesn't connote that the iPod is the only game in town -- not by a long shot. There are a number of exceptional alternatives to the ubiquitous Apple label that are comparable not only in features but also in quality and cost. You can take the latest player from the Gen 5 line up of Archos MP3 players as a prime example of this, as for the price and quality of the device it gets my highest vote. Not too long ago I picked up the 80 GB 605 WiFi model and I am so impressed with it that I am not the least bit depressed that I got rid of my iPod.
There are quite a few separate qualities that disconnect the Archos MP3 players from other brands of players on the marketplace. It of course plays music love all the rest of them, and with the 80 gigs of storage that I have, I've been able to put every song that I have onto the 605 WiFi with tons of room left over. Many digital file types are supported, including .mp3, .wav, and .wma (protected or not). This means I don't have to mess around with conversion software before loading the songs, making Archos MP3 players far more convenient and versatile than other products.
You get a bunch more than a simple music player with the Gen 5 line up though. The Archos line up of MP3 players has a very high quality 4.3 inch color touchscreen which is very merely turned on with the touch of a finger or stylus that's included. This makes navigation through all of the assorted menus very effortless. The outstanding quality of the monitor makes it perfect for watching TV shows, streaming YouTube videos, or even watching movies. It yields an amazingly sharp picture that is visibly visible in all kinds of lighting. Whenever I see somebody trying to watch a movie or something on their tiny iPod screen I just have to shake my head and feels sorry for them. There's no reason to put yourself through something love that, purchasing something for its name only, when you have the better Archos MP3 player within your fingertips.
A really cool thing about the Archos MP3 player that I don't have to be tied up to the computer to handle all my contents. Because it has a trouble-free WiFi connection, I can do all of my downloading on the go. The Archos player also has the Opera Web browser included into it which makes it very easy to surf the net, check my e-mail, and do all of the gameplaying that I want wherever I'm at. This isn't something that's possible with many of the other players out there. Most of the other brands leave you stuck in the mud when you're not at a computer and you can't do an update until you are.
If you're genuinely considering the purchase of a portable media player, stand out from the mass and make the investment into something that's a bunch better than the name brand iPod. You won't go wrong trying out the Gen 5 Archos MP3 player. They are a bunch more scientifically advanced than all of their competition and they are cheaper. So be a sharp shopper and get the most for your dollar.
